Jio Launches New ₹369 Prepaid Plan With 84-Day Validity 0.5GB/Day Data

Reliance Jio has rolled out a new budget-friendly prepaid recharge option priced at ₹369, offering an impressive 84-day validity. However, this plan comes with a crucial limitation that customers should know before recharging.

Jio divides its prepaid offerings into two major categories:

  1. Regular prepaid plans for smartphone users
  2. JioPhone/JioBharat-specific plans for users of the company’s 4G-enabled feature phones

The newly launched ₹369 plan falls strictly under the second category. This means the recharge will work only on JioBharat and JioPhone devices, not on regular smartphones.

What the Jio ₹369 Plan Offers

Jio’s new plan keeps things straightforward while focusing on affordability for feature phone users. Here’s what the pack includes:

  • Unlimited voice calls
  • 300 SMS
  • 0.5GB per day data (total: 42GB)
  • Plan benefits valid for 28 days, but service validity runs for 84 days

Essentially, users get three cycles of 28-day benefits, but only need to do one recharge. This brings the daily cost down to just ₹4.39, making it one of the most economical offerings in this category.

Since 4G-enabled keypad phones consume minimal data compared to smartphones, the 0.5GB/day limit is adequate for essential usage such as UPI, calls, YouTube Shorts, or light browsing on Jio’s network.

Why Jio Is Pushing JioBharat Plans

The JioBharat ecosystem plays a strategic role in Jio’s long-term expansion plans. India still has a large population of feature phone users, and Jio wants to bring them into its 4G fold through ultra-affordable devices and plans.

This approach helps the company add new customers, but it also means the average revenue per user (ARPU) doesn’t rise significantly—since these plans are priced far lower than regular smartphone packs. Jio typically refreshes its JioPhone/JioBharat plans around the India Mobile Congress (IMC) period each year as part of its broader market strategy.
